About Glen Parsons
Glen Parsons is a highly experienced Barrie Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Certified Athletic Therapist, Acupuncturist, and Certified Functional Strength and Conditioning Coach with over three decades of hands-on clinical experience.
Glen began his career after graduating from Sheridan College in 1990 with a Diploma in Sports Injury Management. At just 21 years old, he became one of the youngest Certified Athletic Therapists in Canada—setting the tone for a career defined by dedication, continuous learning, and excellence in patient care.
Driven by a passion for holistic health, Glen expanded his expertise by studying at the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto, earning his Diploma in Acupuncture in 1997. He later pursued Osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, graduating in 2005 with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. His commitment to advancing the field was recognised with the prestigious William Garner Sutherland Thesis Award for his research on the effects of osteopathic treatment on asthma.
A Holistic Approach
Glen’s approach to care is rooted in a deep understanding of the body as an integrated system. As a Certified Functional Strength and Conditioning Coach, he places strong emphasis on movement quality, mobility, stability, balance, strength, and performance. He is also certified in Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and is a trained Shift Concussion Management Provider.
Committed to lifelong learning, Glen continues his professional development through advanced studies in the Biodynamics of Osteopathy program with Dr. James Jealous, including multiple phases and paediatric training.
High-Performance Coaching
Beyond the clinic, Glen has a strong passion for performance coaching. As an Alpine Ski Racing Coach, he brings his extensive knowledge and experience to help athletes reach their full potential both physically and mentally.
Throughout his career, Glen has worked in a variety of clinical and high-performance environments across Ontario. He previously served as Head Athletic Therapist at Humber College and spent eight years working with Canada Basketball, including the Men’s National Team, travelling internationally with elite athletes.
Personal Life
Outside of work, Glen enjoys an active lifestyle with his family. Whether it’s alpine skiing, mountain biking, motocross, golf, canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding, he believes in living the same healthy, active principles he promotes to his patients.
